Catriona is an essex based MULTIDISCIPLINARY artist

While having work that covers multiple mediums, at the heart of her work Catriona ultimately wants to confront her own and societal fear of the body and health. This internal and projected fear from others is something Catriona has been aware of for a long time as she has had chronic physical and mental health conditions from a young age. Inclusivity does not just mean including the positive, it also means including the more horror filled, difficult areas we navigate in our lives. Catriona’s love of horror is especially present in her illustrative work and this is something she would be interested incorporating more with her research. Through her work she hopes to highlight how much the arts are critical in allowing self discovery and educating others; she hopes it encourages people to express and most importantly be proud of themselves. Her practice is constantly evolving and aims to blur the boundaries of different mediums and the lived experience in the research dynamic.
